In Simple Words: Applying for a Domicile Certificate in Maharashtra takes about 20 minutes online. You fill a form on Aaple Sarkar, upload your documents, and your local Tehsildar processes it within 7–15 working days. The key is making sure all your names and details match your Aadhaar exactly — that is the most common reason for rejection.
Before You Start
Gather your documents first — the form will ask you to upload them during the process. See the full list: Documents required for Domicile Certificate
Make sure your Aadhaar details are correct. Any name or address mismatch will cause rejection. See: How to fix Aadhaar name mismatch
